Dignity Health, St. Rose Dominican
Compassionate care is the essence of Dignity Health, St. Rose Dominican. UNLV has benefited immensely from this guiding principle for years.
Dignity Health has supported UNLV nursing, medicine, and dental programs, as well as athletics and the annual fund. The health care organization has provided scholarships and funded programs that are essential not only to UNLV, but to the community at large.
As the community’s only not-for-profit, faith-based health care system, Dignity Health, St. Rose Dominican’s hospitals have been guided by the vision and core values of the Adrian Dominican Sisters since the 1940s.
A group of seven Adrian Dominican Sisters agreed to travel to Southern Nevada from Adrian, Michigan, in 1947 to provide care. Their fellow Sisters continue to do the same today at the St. Rose Dominican hospitals in Southern Nevada.
As Southern Nevada grows, so does Dignity Health’s St. Rose Dominican service. In addition to acute care hospitals, Dignity Health-
St. Rose Dominican neighborhood hospitals now serve Las Vegas residents. Beyond hospitals, Dignity Health provides family health services through community outreach and wellness centers in Henderson and Las Vegas.
