Konami Gaming, Inc.
In August 2010, UNLV received a $1 million donation from KONAMI to establish the Konami Gaming Fund in support the William F. Harrah College of Hospitality’s faculty, students, and administration. KONAMI’s generous gift supported an endowment that helped pay for gaming management students to pursue professional development opportunities; unrestricted funds for the hospitality college to address emerging needs; and support for the Academic Corporate Council Annual Giving Program. KONAMI’S investment in the hospitality college’s gaming management program was a testament to the commitment of its leadership to empower the industry professionals and leaders of the future. In recognition of the company’s support of gaming education, the gaming lab located in the UNLV Stan Fulton Building will be formally named the KONAMI Gaming Laboratory.
Konami Gaming, Inc. is a Las Vegas-based subsidiary of KONAMI CORPORATION, a leading provider of slot machines and casino management systems for the global gaming market. Konami in Japanese means small wave, but when it comes to the impact of its contribution to UNLV, KONAMI has created a big wave to benefit the William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration.
