Caesars Foundation and Caesars Entertainment
Caesars Foundation and Caesars Entertainment have fostered and sustained a multiyear, multifaceted partnership with UNLV. In 2012, their support for the university had ranged from funding scholarships, to providing a gift to support the naming of the William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration, to creating the Caesars Hospitality Research Center. Caesars Foundation also provided support to the Black Mountain Institute, and Caesars Entertainment partnered with the Women’s Research Institute of Nevada at UNLV to help sponsor the National Education for Women’s Leadership program.
Caesars strives to both set and raise the corporate social responsibility standards for its properties, its company, and the industry. They accomplish this by adhering to a higher code – the Code of Commitment. This code is a pledge to their guests, their employees, and to the communities where they operate that they will honor the trust they place in them by acting as responsible corporate citizens.
Caesars Foundation is perhaps the most visible example of their Code of Commitment in action. Established in 2002 as a separate nonprofit entity, Caesars Foundation provides financial support to qualifying charitable organizations across the country and overseas. Caesars Entertainment prides itself as the world’s most diversified casino entertainment corporation and believes that running a profitable enterprise and being a good corporate citizen are not mutually exclusive.
