Catherine Gullo Bellver Ph.D.

Catherine G. Bellver is a distinguished professor emerita in the College of Liberal Arts. Since joining the faculty in 1972, she has taught more than two dozen different courses in the Department of World Languages and Culture. Dr. Bellver is an accomplished scholar and a tireless advocate for women in academia. She established an endowed chair in the humanities and an endowment for the Women’s Research Institute at UNLV, while supporting faculty, scholarships, and programs across campus through her philanthropy and service.
