The UNLV Foundation Annual Dinner - Celebrating the sprit of philanthropy
John C. Kish Foundation

John C. Kish Foundation

The John C. Kish Foundation was founded by John C. Kish, who owned the Skyline Casino in Henderson. John and his partner, Frank “Jack” Plevo, wanted to give back to the Southern Nevada community where they had run a successful casino business. John was very involved in the community while he was alive, helping to establish the John C. Kish Unit of the Boys and Girls Club, UNLV, and various other charitable organizations. The Kish Foundation continues to support the areas of health, education, performing arts, and animal welfare in Southern Nevada.

The Kish Foundation’s support of UNLV runs deep and broad. For more than two decades, they have funded scholarships, campus life, and Rebel Athletics. They established an endowed hospitality scholarship in 2010 and a medical school scholarship in 2015. They also were major contributors to the UNLV Rebel Football Building fund and the UNLV Athletics Director Initiative.
