Ted and Maria Quirk
Ted and Maria Quirk have been supportive of UNLV for decades, both personally and philanthropically.
Ted has been an active Trustee of the UNLV Foundation, having served as the Foundation’s chairman and treasurer, and chair of a number of committees. He was a founder and president of the Rebel Golf Foundation and was a founding member of the UNLV Research Committee. He has also lent his outstanding service to the UNLV Athletics Hall of Fame committee and the Harry Reid Silver State Research Award committee. Ted’s dedication bridged partnerships with individuals and organizations whose philanthropic contributions promote and sustain the university.
Maria has actively supported the Jean Nidetch Women’s Center, helping it to fulfill the goals of providing services and programs to empower all students to achieve academic, personal, and professional goals. She has also supported the Women’s Sports Foundation and the Black Mountain Institute.
The Quirks have been inducted as honorary members of Phi Kappa Phi at UNLV, and Ted was awarded the President’s Medal. Through the years, the Quirks continued generosity and dedication to advance the university’s mission as an institution of higher learning have made a far-reaching impact on a wide variety of campus areas and academic programs.
The Quirks have established a scholarship endowment at UNLV that will afford many students the opportunity to pursue their personal best. They also remain actively involved in many nonprofits throughout Las Vegas are recognized as loyal fans of UNLV’s athletic teams.
Ted’s law practice focuses on intellectual property law, with an emphasis on patent, trademark and copyright matters.
